There are three types of burn
- 1st degree resulting in redness of skin and pain
- 2nd degree where there is redness, pain and blistering
- 3rd degree where all the layers of the skin have been burnt

Things you can do
- Bathe/immerse the burn in cold water for 10-20 minutes or until heat subsides
- Be safe in the sun and avoid prolonged exposure
- Cover the burn area with a sterile dressing
- Do not puncture blisters if present

You know, the homeopathic treatment for burns is to use hot water, not cold. Obviously not so hot it makes the burn worse, but as hot as you can stand, and the pain subsides immediately and the burn usually completely disappears within 24 hours. Like cures like…
Dear Katherine, with a very minor burn you could try this approach. It is homeopathic in its philosophy but not in it’s prescribing as that would involve using Arnica, or Cantharis or another appropriately selected remedy. I personally would always recommend using a Homeopathic Medicine and applying first aid procedures such as cold water.
